Every summer, you can find the hubby and I at a few tractor shows - while he loves all the tractors, after an hour or so, I get restless ( I like tractors, but after awhile the details start to blend) and go walk the flea markets! Well, I happened to see a booth by American Forging (Unique, American Made, Hand Forged Aluminum Giftware with anvil and hammer)  this summer - I loved the idea of taking aluminum cans and recycling them into something so neat! The Cornucopia caught my eye - and my handsome Hubby, being the sweet man that he is, bought me the Cornucopia Hors D'oeurve Tray!  I was thrilled! Kids are so visual at this age and will love the fun, colorful, simple illustrations.  I love the fact that that each story is not limited to one page like most Children's Bibles are. By making the stories span 4- 7 pages, the author is not rushing through the story. She includes interactions in the text such as, "Close your eyes. Now, what do you see? You don't see anything, do you? Everything is dark." Every fall - we get apples from Michigan, picked fresh off the tree's - at a very nice price I might add. My sister and husband make quite a few trips up there and always come back with bushels of apples, pears, sweet cherries, plums, peaches, grapes, and other fruit. On their last load they brought back 600+ bushel of apples! I always buy both Gala and Golden Delicious apples each year. The Gala are mainly saved for eating - these are about 6 weeks old now, and still keeping great in the garage. The yellow Golden Delicious is what I make my applesauce, apple butter, apple pie filling and apple cobblers with - they are sweet enough you only need to add a very little amount of sugar! Hello and welcome to my little blog! Thanks for joining me for the Ultimate Blog Bash 2011 - I am happily married to a wonderful hubby who is my lover and best friend! I am a stay at home, work from home , homeschooling Momma to three beautiful kids who are very much full of energy! Many people who know me (outside of my family), do not know that I have a skin disease - Prurigo Nodularis .........or I simply call it - Itchy Skin!     The story below is long, but good.  Saying 'NO' to abortion is something that is close to my heart! You see, I was that scared pregnant 17 yr. old, whose family and friends rejected. I went as far as to call an abortion clinic - (although I was raised in a christian home, and I knew it was wrong, I didn't feel that I had many options.) However, the baby's father was in jail at the time I found out, so I mustered up the courage to go to a Right to Life center. The lady there was so kind and sweet, not judging or harsh. ............She made me feel loved. I left the center, with a pink baby blanket, knowing for sure that I was going to keep my little baby, no matter what! Today, that baby girl is my beautiful 10 year old daughter. GO BIG by: Cory Cotton Rating: 5 Stars I'll be the first to admit, I wasn't thrilled when I first received this book - you see, I am so NOT a sports fan! And if I had to pick the one sport I hate the most it would definitely be basket ball! However, before I even finished the first chapter.... I was hooked! I was out weeding one of my many perennial beds today (a normal, regular activity for me), when I started thinking........  "Weeding is God's way of making my life look good, so other's can see Jesus in me!"  It doesn't matter how big (proud/puffed up) I get, or how pretty I am.  If my life is full of weeds (bad habits, discontentment, or sin), no one can see that I am a born again Christian!  You see, my beds always have tall, airy grasses, bright, pretty blooms and sweet, heavenly smells, however, when the flower bed is full of weeds, you never see the true beauty of the flowers. The weeds take away from the appearance, just as sin takes away from our Christian witness! I mean, think of it, you never see an article in a gardening magazine where the picture is a bed full of weeds! No! The gardening magazine wants their readers to see the beauty of the flowers. -Just as God wants others to see Him in us! I think I may need to do better at pulling som
