Every summer, you can find the hubby and I at a few tractor shows - while he loves all the tractors, after an hour or so, I get restless ( I like tractors, but after awhile the details start to blend) and go walk the flea markets! Well, I happened to see a booth by American Forging (Unique, American Made, Hand Forged Aluminum Giftware with anvil and hammer)  this summer - I loved the idea of taking aluminum cans and recycling them into something so neat! The Cornucopia caught my eye - and my handsome Hubby, being the sweet man that he is, bought me the Cornucopia Hors D'oeurve Tray!  I was thrilled! I keep it on my china hutch and proudly show it off to all my guests! Well, a few months ago, I stumbled across their Facebook page and entered to win a few of their giveaways...... guess what?? Kids are so visual at this age and will love the fun, colorful, simple illustrations.  I love the fact that that each story is not limited to one page like most Children's Bibles are. By making the stories span 4- 7 pages, the author is not rushing through the story. She includes interactions in the text such as, "Close your eyes. Now, what do you see? You don't see anything, do you? Everything is dark." My kids really liked being able to interact with the story.  My ten year old loves to read this book to her four year old brother – and they enjoy doing the activities together!  Another great feature of

GO BIG by: Cory Cotton Rating: 5 Stars I'll be the first to admit, I wasn't thrilled when I first received this book - you see, I am so NOT a sports fan! And if I had to pick the one sport I hate the most it would definitely be basket ball! However, before I even finished the first chapter.... I was hooked! This book isn't as much about sports, but rather about how to make your own GO BIG idea work!  My husband and I have recently became Shaklee Independent Distributors and we are wanting to GO BIG!  Not only do we want to both work from home and set our own hours, we also want to go on all the awesome FREE trips, drive a FREE car and live the Shaklee Dream - all while helping others - You see, we want to GO BIG!   Stumbling Into Grace By Lisa Harper  "Confessions of a Sometimes Spiritually Clumsy Woman"  Rating: 5 Stars I must admit..... I LOVED this book! Sometimes, I get the feeling that all devotional books seem to blend together, sounding the same - but NOT this one!!!  I was happily surprised that Lisa Harper's "Stumbling Into Grace" was new and refreshing and everything I need in a devotional! I don't think there's a Christian woman who can't relate to this book. It 'hits the heart' in all the right spots.  Lisa never tries to hide her past or embarrassing moments, but uses them to encourage, teach and provide a little humor for you along the way.  It's nice to know I'm not the only one who makes a fool of myself on a regular basis. God's Love Letters to You  A 40-Day Devotional Experience By Larry Crabb  Rating: 2 Stars God's Love Letters to You, is a 40-day devotional journey. Each day begins with a Bible verse, continues with a one page short devotional, followed by reflection questions and a closing prayer.  From the title I was anticipating the pages to be filled with warm nuggets of truth about God's love, however, it seemed to be lacking for me. It does speak of God's love for us, but some of the devotions were more negative than others.  God's Love Letters to You is Dr. Crabb's interpretation of what God might say to you in conversation about the scriptures. By incorporating these small gestures into each day, one can make a great difference in their marriage. The book is broken into sections that addresses issues such as communication, children, physical and sexual relationships.  The Authors often include a possible dialogue for each technique they recommend. However, it seemed that the way it was worded was how you would speak to a child, not a spouse and I don't see the conversations happening in real life. In these "Say This" sections of the book, the spouse who is being confronted with something immediately agrees with what the other is saying and they 'ride off into the sunset, and live happily ever after

 Everyone With A Child Should Read This..... Car Seat Safety: The Benefits of Extended Rear Facing (ERF)  What is Extended Rear Facing? Extended rear-facing simply means to keep a child in the rear-facing position after the child reaches 1 year and 20 lbs. 20 lbs is the minimum requirement for turning a child to the forward-facing position (by Ontario law). While you can choose to forward-face at the current minimum of 20 lbs, it is highly recommended that you keep your child rear-facing until the upper limits of the seat are reached. Your child will reach these upper limits when one of the following conditions occurs: 1. The child reaches the rear-facing weight limit 2. Hair Without Tangles Ever since my daughter has had hair long enough to comb, she has had tangles. I am talking about big tangles that would take me 20-30 min. or more to comb out, and with her crying in pain the whole time! In the past, I've tried ever kind of product out there on the market to get rid of tangles.....NOTHING worked! Then, I tried Shaklee Revitalizing Shampoo and Replenishing Conditioner.
