Driving...

Image
I drive for Ford, as a dealership driver. I do dealer trades (my favorite), dealer buys, lease returns, pick up auction cars, and deliver cars to their new owners..... sometimes we even go straight to the Ford plant and pick them up as they come off the assembly line. We drive all over.... mainly in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, and Michigan. But sometimes as far as Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Missouri, Iowa, and Florida... Sometimes I drive one way with another driver.  (My favorite driving partner is Joe. We have gotten to be best friends over the years, and have a great time together.) Sometimes, its just me by myself for the whole trip. I absolutely love driving! Driving is exciting. I love the adventure of where the road might take me. Of not knowing how my day will go. I love seeing the beautiful landscape and the sunsets. I love the quiet solitude of being in the car alone with my thoughts. I love driving on wide open interstates, in congested traffic lanes, and on narrow

Freedom??? Think Again Folks, We Are No Longer Free

Image
I'm so tired...physically, mentally and every other part of being tired that there could be. I feel like my freedom is slowly forcefully being taken away from me and theres not a thing I can do about it.  I'M really tired of being TOLD WHEN, WHERE AND HOW TO WEAR THE MASK.... If you don't wear it you can't go to certain places because now they require it. I have stopped shopping at stores that require it, but now our whole state is making it a mandate. (I still refuse to wear it though.) It's sad watching our freedoms being taken from us. It's sad that most people are willing to blindly follow such nonsense. I don't want to raise my kids in this world...  heck, I don't even want to live in this kind of world myself. What happened to our individual rights? This isn't about health.... its about, control, politics, and setting us up for a communism take over.... it has nothing to do with health. It's just another way the for the leftists to destro

The Sign At The End Of The Lane

Image
We live on a little piece of country land, out in the middle of no where.... when you turn on our road, you go by a little cemetery, through an s curve, up a slight hill and you come to it.... our home. There you'll find a sign at the end of the lane.... its not a big sign, its not a fancy sign, and its really not even that good looking of a sign, but it lets people know that we are here. Here to help you feel better, here to help a friend or your family member, here to give health, hope, and wealth . Here to share, here to care. We are here to make your future better.  So, if your looking for information to work from home, want to improve your health, or just need someone to talk to.... stop on in.... Yes, that sign sets at the end of our lane as a reminder that I am here for you. How can I help you today? - Rhoda Kindred Shaklee Independent Distributor

Carlos, Indiana - The Town That Used To Be....

Image
Every spring I drive down to a little Amish greenhouse for flowers and vegetable plants... And on the way, I drive through the little town of Carlos. I love old, rusty, used things and old buildings just speak to me!  This little town is one of those places, that on a calm and quiet day, you can almost hear the screen doors slam as each person came and went..... and invision horses and wagons driving up and down the street.... Carlos is barely a dot on the map in Randolph County, Indiana today, but at one time it was a pretty substantial town with a number of businesses and residents to call it home.  From what I have read, it used to have a school, gas station, bank, grocery store, beauty salon, creamery (aka the butter factory), skating rink, doll museum, and a post office in the back of the general store. But the thing that makes it most unique (at least to me) is this castle-like grain elevator, complete with crenellated wall.  In its time, th

A Healthy Immune System Matters Against Viruses and the Coronavirus

Image
A good, healthy immune system matters the most against viruses.... but how can you keep your body healthy?  1. Try not to stress ! When we are stressed or anxious our cortisol levels go up and that lowers our immune system, so reducing physical and mental stress will help reduce the risk of getting Coronavirus. 2. Get enough sleep. Getting that eight hours of sleep a night is huge because if we are not well rested our bodies immune system doesn't work like it should. 3. Get up and moving. Regular exercise has been shown to boost our immune system. Go outside, take a walk, breath some fresh air. 4. Load up on fruits, veggies and antioxidants. Healthy food gives our body the energy it needs to keep going every day. Put down the processed food, soda and candy. 5. Take all natural whole food supplements and vitamins to keep our immune systems the healthiest.  A strong immune system needs powerful nutrition.  LIFE SHAKE™: Healthy immune-supporting meal replac

What's The True Value Of Your Home?

Image
The value of our home and land has nothing to do with what they are worth. How do you put a price tag on the memories you make? On the years of laughter you've shared, or the tears of heartbreak you've cried? Or the dreams that have come true because we chose to live here? When you add all those up.... we won the lottery to be able to call this place home! When you account for what we paid for the place, the improvements we've sunk into it, the thousands of trees and plants we've planted, the tons of stone and mulch we've hauled in... and all the other things that add up.... we are sunk. We will never get all the money back out of this place. But here's the thing.... if you love where you live.... if you truly decide to love where you live and dig in and live there.... truly live there, it doesn't matter whether you got ripped off or stole it when you bought it; the value of your home will be much more than a professional home estimate could ever

Redkey Indiana

Image
Redkey is a cute little town nestled at the crossroads of Highway 1 and Indiana State Road 67 in Jay County, Indiana.  The area was originally known as the Wade Settlement, after the family of Josiah Wade, who settled there in 1836. His son William Harrison Wade platted a village there in 1854, which he called Mt. Vernon. James Redkey platted his addition in 1856, but when application was made for a government post office, the name Mt. Vernon was already taken, so the name of Redkey was chosen. Redkey was incorporated in 1883. Redkey, Indiana, was situated in the largest natural gas field in the world at the time.  The Redkey Volunteer Fire Department is in a beautiful 113 year old building. The Key Palace Theater first received national attention in the 1950s, Noble, a Muncie native, brought in numerous blues artists over the years, making the Key Palace Theater a major destination for fans of blues music. The theater closed down after Noble’s death, but ha
