Gilmore Girls In Real Life

Have you ever watched a movie and seen your family in the characters?

Well, back before I was married and until this day my ultimate favorite show has always been Gilmore Girls.

When I was a single mom, my one desire was to have the relationship with my daughter Faith, be like Lorelai and Rory.

I had my first daughter at a young age, and my parents were not wealthy, but were very conservative and lived in a different state. I did what I had to, to provide and care for my little girl.

Fast forward to years later, and now we watch the seasons on dvd as a family.

My oldest daughter is now 21. and like Rory, she has a talent to write, loves books, and is totally Rory in just about everything.... although she doesn't have a best friend that is Korean, but she loves K pop and everything about Korea.

My husband is totally Luke Danes.... though he doesn't own a diner, doesn't wear his cap backwards, and doesn't drive an old chevy truck.... He hates going inside a hospital. He has Luke's sense of dry humor and calm. He goes along with all my crazy ideas and is my rock. He stays busy completing my never ending honey-do-list.... I can always count on him. He's always there ready to help me out of the predicaments and he loves me unconditionally.

My ex husband is like Chris. Only instead of having money and a baby after our divorce, he had a few kids before we married and has no money. He's the kinda fun, random, not very responsible kind of guy. And although I have no desire to ever get back with him, I do still care about him and don't want to see him all alone.

Wyatt is like Jackson. He's sweet, a little bit clumsy and doesn't always fit in, but he has a good heart, and he has a great imagination, comes up with lots of inventions, and looks really good in a pair of bib overalls!

Our youngest daughter, Adilayia is a good mix of Lane and April and Paris (but in a good way). You can trust her to do what she's supposed to and to not get into trouble. Yet, she has just a bit of a wild side that you only see bits of from time to time! She has a different face for every emotion! She is a mix of alot, but yet uniquely herself - and I love her for it!

As for me, as much as I wish I was as fun and exciting and witty with fast humor as Lorelai, I'm a good mix of Sookie, Emily and Lorelai all meshed together. I have Lorelai's knack of doing before I think, I'm stubborn and independent, but I do what I gotta do. And, I love food! I am down to earth like Sookie, a good cook, and just alittle ditzy! But, I do like a bit of glamor, and in the end, always do the right, responsible thing, like Emily.

The only thing missing is, I wish we lived in the little bustling town and community like Stars Hollow. And, I'd love to have all the money that seems to float around, enabling them to own their own businesses, take trips, go to schools like Chilton and Yale, enjoy spa days and fancy Friday night dinners..... etc.
And while we are speaking of money.... if I could buy the amount of food they always seem to buy on the show.... that's a small fortune right there....

So if you've watched Gilmore Girls, which character do you most closely relate too?
