Visiting The Grand Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, and Monument Valley

This year Hubby and I took a trip to Arizona to celebrate our 10 Year Anniversary! Hubby took a few days off work, and I paid for the trip with our Shaklee biz income.

We flew from Indy to Las Vegas, NV.

We caught a short flight into Phoenix, AZ. (Looking back, we wish we would have just drove from Nevada into Arizona, as we wasted time getting a flight into Phoenix.)

It was a warm 80* in Phoenix.... we got a rental car in Phoenix and started driving North. The scenery with the open land, mountains, hills and cacti was absolutely beautiful!

We stopped in Camden to get gas, eat, and stretch our legs. They have the cutest gift shop with everything you can imagine at the Camden Trading Post. (The food and service was great too!) And, the weather was perfect!

We crossed into Utah and reached Monument Valley around dusk. We stayed overnight in the one and only Monument Valley Hotel. The views were amazing! Every room has a balcony facing the valley!

Did I mention our rental car was a 2015 Mustang Convertible? Hubby was great and let me drive it 99% of the time!
(If you haven't caught on.... we both love Mustangs!)

We visited Glen Canyon Dam in Page, AZ....... that was interesting! It's the second largest dam in the USA.

We stopped by Horseshoe Bend. It was pouring down rain, but we decided to hike down to the look out... It was very much worth hiking in the rain to see it!

Once again - I loved the open spaces and the beautiful views....

We then headed over to the Grand Canyon South Rim... it was still rainy, so we stopped at the lookout and then headed to our hotel for the night.

It snowed that first night in the Canyon!

But the next day, the sun came out and shone brightly over the Canyon.....

We stopped by a Navajo roadside stand to buy some keepsakes.

We headed down to Happy Valley for the evening, and back to Phoenix the next day for our flight home.

I love traveling and seeing God's beauty and spending time with my amazing hubby, but it's always good to be home.....

Here's to another 10 years of doing life together!
I love you, Stephen!
